What additional facts do you need before recommending a response?
How a strong PM thinks
Connect the system signal to the user contract.
Determine which jobs are delayed, whether completion times exceed the promise, how many customers are affected, and whether the backlog is growing or clearing.
Then state the impact and action: “Large imports are missing the expected processing window. Recommend pausing expansion while we restore capacity, with an update tomorrow.” Keep the technical metrics as supporting evidence.
